Farrah x Osins - Omen

By Luke Byatt

Released on coveted Bass label Jadu Dala, Hong Kong artist Farrah and Israeli producer Osins team up for ‘Omen’.

‘Omen’ swells as Farrah's boisterous bass ensemble morphs with Osin's charismatic composition. The pair's dynamic style melds together generating a certified floor filler. The pair’s release is borderline unrivalled when it comes to my favourite Bass bangers released in 2021. Farrah's rapid growth in the Bass community has been spurred on by her unwavering drive to pave her own path within the scene. The rising star recently organised All Stars, an online festival featuring all Womxn acts hosted by Electric Hawk. This notion of peers supporting peers has brought opportunities and notable growth for all artists involved.

Farrah and Osins are forces to be reckoned with, and I can’t wait to hear what’s to come!

ASHWARYA - TO THE NIGHT (Feat. Vic Mensa)

By Luke Byatt

Melbourne’s ASHWARYA is undoubtably one of the best acts to come out of Victorian capital, with her new single ‘TO THE NIGHT’ featuring Vic Mensa being a testament to that.

‘TO THE NIGHT’ is a culmination of ASHWARYA’s propulsive growth and blossoming stance in the Australian music scene. The off kilter and dynamic approach to Pop (synonymous with the ascending act) is on full display within the single. The spacious production allows ASHWARYA’s vivid vocals to shine, while the addition of Vic Mensa delivers a sense of grit. The balance of manicured and meticulous with raw and untreated aspects is a welcomed juxtaposition that showcases the breadth of the artist’s sensational sonic. ‘TO THE NIGHT’ is another prime example of why ASHWARYA is quickly escalating to the top of the scene.

I can’t wait to hear what’s to come from ASHWARYA in the near future!

Borderland State - Rushing

By Luke Byatt

Borderland State, your favourite Progressive House producer from the Sunshine State is back with ‘Rushing’.

If you love Kaskade, Tchami or Above & Beyond, ‘Rushing’ is for you. Borderland State knows his way around a pristine House soundscape, while also imbuing a sense of mystery and divine affinity. The grooving production flaunts all the trademark sounds and textures you expect from a release from Borderland State, while also delivering a fresh aesthetic to the project. With a prosperous release catalogue already behind him, ‘Rushing’ is a fine addition.

Borderland State is a master of his craft and I can’t wait to hear what’s to come.

Tchami x Zhu - All On Me

By Justin Pix

‘All on Me’, an exhilarating electronic track from french producer Tchami, featuring electrifying vocals from electronic powerhouse Zhu, lands itself into the visual realm with a new hard hitting music video.

The video poses as the perfect visual counterpart to the track, with director Grizz Lee (who has previously worked with Selena Gomez & Kim Kardarshian) taking the viewer on a journey of spiritual interpretive dance in an old and alluring interior. The cryptic affair the protagonist embarks on is covered in rich polarising colours that come together to create the perfect visual medium for the track. The choreography was directed by Amy Gardner, who has previously worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Prince and Madonna, displaying her anomalous elan flowing back and forth over the bass heavy track, exhibiting prolific exuberance in the video.
